The Gutshot Poker brand stems from the poker club, Bar, Restaurant and Internet Café based in London, England. The club made headlines on the 16th of January 2007 when the club’s owner Derek Kelly was charged with contravening the Gaming Act. Kelly had claimed that Poker was a game of skill and therefore was exempt from the Gambling Act and its laws. The claims were rejected again during a High Court appeal.
